Yodsanklai Fairtex will be part of the inaugural SportAccord Combat Games in Baijing, China. The games will run from August 27th to September 4th. The games will feature 13 marital arts disciplines with Muay Thai being one of the thirteen.
However if you don't hear the name Yodsanklai it will be because he will be fighting under the name Yodthanong Phorat at the 71 kg (156 lb) division. The Thailand team will be led by head coach Surat Sianglor.
If Yodsanklai win returns to Thailand a gold medalist he will receive one million baht ($31,289), a silver medalist 500,000 baht ($15,644) and a bronze medalist winner 200,000 baht ($6,257).
Other sports in the Combat Games are Wushu, Boxing, Kick-Boxing, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, Kendo, sumo, Aikido, Wrestling and Sambo.
