Cosmo Alexandre vs. Cyrus Washinton official for May 14th Lion Fight Promotions event


LION FIGHT PROMOTIONS ADDS SUPER FIGHT TO MAY 14 CARD
Brazilian Muay Thai Super Star Cosmo Alexandre and Top American Muay Champion Cyrus Washington Officially Sign on with Lion Fight Promotions' Battle of the Desert II

April 6, 2011 Las Vegas, NV - Lion Fight Promotions, LLC announced today that the company has officially signed on Cosmo Alexandre and Cyrus Washington to face each other in a Super Fight bout as an addition to the May 14 card scheduled to take place at the Star of the Desert Arena in Primm, NV.

Cosmo "Good Boy" Alexandre is a professional Brazilian Muay Thai fighter. He is a former WMC Intercontinental and WPMF World Champion. On December 5, 2009 he won the WMC King's Cup Challenger Tournament in Bangkok, Thailand, and today, he holds a record of 39 wins / 13 losses. Alexandre has fought some of the best Muay Thai practitioners in the world, including Giorgio Petrosyan, Yodsanklai Fairtex, and John Wayne Parr. Alexandre, who is represented by the team at Authentic Sports Management, currently resides and trains out of Springfield, Massachusetts. 

Cyrus Washington has won multiple professional Muay Thai titles, including a title victory over the well known Burmese fighter Saw Nga in a bare knuckle championship bout that took place in Burma. Washington had previously lived in Thailand for over three years and trained out of Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket. Washington recently made his way back to the U.S. and now currently lives and trains out of Michigan. Washington's current record is 47 wins / 16 losses.

Alexandre and Washington are scheduled to fight for 5 rounds by 3 minutes each round under Full Muay Thai Rules at an agreed weight of 160 lbs.

·         Ky Hollenbeck (San Francisco, CA) vs. Gregory Choplin (France), 160 lbs
·         Chaz Mulkey (Las Vegas, NV) vs. Ken Tran (Vancouver BC, Canada), 158 lbs
·         Shawn Yarborough (Las Vegas, NV) vs. Chris Romulo (New York, NY), 168 lbs
·         Scotty Leffler (Las Vegas, NV) vs. Jose Palacios (San Jose, CA), 145 lbs
·         Jeri Sitzes (Springfield, MO) vs, Misty Sutherland (Calgary, Canada) 122 lbs
·         Anthony Castrejon (Las Vegas, NV) vs. Ognjen Topic (Lodi, NJ), 125 lbs
