With Stand Up Promotions "World Class Championship Muay Thai" event set to take place on August 13 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. The talks regarding who will face the Muay Thai dream team from Thailand that Stand Up Promotions is bringing over (Buakaw Por. Pramuk, Saenchai Sinibi Gym, Kaoklai Kennorising, Saiyok Pumpanmuang, and Rungravee Sasiprapa) have started to heat up.
All though not officially announced by Stand Up Promotions Muay Thai Authority has learned from sources close to the situation that Kevin Ross will likely face Saenchai Sinibi Gym at the event on August 13th. Ross and Saenchai were both participants in the Toyota Cup 8-man tournament last year, but did not cross paths as Ross was eliminated in the semi-finals while Saenchai went on to win the tournament. After the tournament Saenchai stated that he was interested in fighting Ross since he was one of the best farangs, he went as far as to say that he would KO Ross. In response Ross stated "I would like to see him try".
Well now it seems the fight will come to fruition, and if it happens with Ross stock higher than ever it is sure to draw plenty of interest. Both fighters will be busy before August, however, Kevin Ross will be fighting Mark DeLuca in May under the Lion Fight Promotions banner, and Saenchai will be fighting Liam Harrison this upcoming Saturday at Fight Sport Industries Duel at the Dome.
