On June 10th the third installment of the Journey Fight Series will take place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The second round of their 140lb tournament will feature two exciting fights, Josh Palmer vs. Justin Greskiewicz and Coke Chunhawat vs. Matt Embree.
Greskiewicz defeated Nate Smandych to punch his ticket into the tournament semi-finals and Palmer defeated Mark DeLuca to earn his spot. Since the tournaments opening round both fighters have been in action. Greskiewicz dropped a close split decision to Turan Hasanov at Friday Night Fights, while Palmer defeated James France in Europe.
Coke and Embree will meet once again in a re-match of their September 2010 fight. Coke took a narrow split decision over Embree, and this fight should be just as exciting as the first. Embree is looking to prove that he should have gotten the nod the first time they met while Coke will be looking to prove otherwise. Neither have competed since the opening round of the tournament.
The event will also feature a fight between American Marcus Fisher and Canadian Sean McKinnon as well as a female main event between Jessica Gladstone of Canada and Meryem Uslu of Germany.
The fights will be available at www.MuayThaiTKO.com a few weeks after the event.
