Lion Fight 11 will take place September 20th at the Third Street Stage in downtown Las Vegas. Headlining the event will be a bout between Cosmo Alexandre and Nampon PKMuaythai. The co-main event will feature a bout between Kevin Ross and Tetsuya Yamato.
Cosmo Alexandre will be making his return to Muay Thai after a two year hiatus. In that time Alexandre successfully transitioned to MMA going 5-1 with Bellator. His last bout in Muay Thai was a controversial decision loss to Muay Thai legend Sakmongkol at Lion Fight Promotions "Battle in the Desert 3". Nampon is a WMC and Rajadamnern Stadium Champion, he will be making his American debut in the bout with Alexandre.
Kevin Ross and Tetsuya Yamato will both be looking to rebound from losses when they meet at Lion Fight 11. Ross most recently lost a unanimous decision to Matt Embree at Lion Fight 10 and Yamato lost due to a cut to Sagetdao Petpayatyahi at M-One "Reborn" this past May. Ross and Yamato have faces some familiar opposition, both have fought Saenchai and Sagetdao. In 2010 Yamato was knocked out by Saenchai in the first round with a head kick, while Ross lost a majority decision to Saenchai in 2011. Both fighters lost to Sagetdao by (T)KO due to cut, Ross in 2011 and Yamato earlier this year.
