Luis Bio vs. Alejandro Nunez set for WBC Muay Thai Mexico's National Championship at 48th WBC World Convention

The 48th annual WBC World Convention is set to take place on November 5th in Cancun, Mexico, and for the first time in the history of the convention a Muay Thai bout will be featured. Luis Bio (6-2) will take on an undefeated Alejandro Nunez for the WBC Muay Thai Mexico's National Championship. Normally the WBC World Convention only showcases boxing matches.

Bio, an Ensenada native will try to continue to add to his current win streak by adding Nunez to the list. Most recently Bio defeated Harris Norwood via 5th round TKO at WCK Muay Thai Pala on October 2nd, before defeating Norwood, Bio defeated Cyrus Washington who was just a participant in the Toyota Vigo tournament this past weekend by TKO as well. In addition to fighting Nunez, Bio will likely be "part of a four-man tournament with the possibility of winning $10.000,” according to Dennis Warner, the president of In Sync Productions.

Nunez will be looking to derail Bio's current streak and keep his own undefeated record intact, and with national pride on the line this fight is sure to have both fighters looking to impress the fans.

WBC conference fights will be televised live on Mexican television and live on the internet at WBCBOXING.TV
