John Wayne Parr responds to Baxter Humby calling him out

Baxter Humby recently went on record and called out Muay Thai great John Wayne Parr. The pair had previously fought in 2002, a fight that Parr won after Humby's corner threw in the towel. The fight had been close until Parr hurt Humby and then his corner threw in the towel, a move that Humby did not agree with.

In the interview with Champion of Champions Elite in which Humby calls out Parr, he states that he was winning the fight and did not agree with his corner throwing in the towel so quickly.

Muay Thai Authority contacted John Wayne Parr for a comment on being called out by Humby, and Parr replied with the following.

"Too funny man, if he thought the last one was close then this time I will smash his face in to make him rethink fighting me again"

It's clear Parr has no concerns over facing Humby again. The Muay Thai legend recently defeated Yodsanklai by split decision.

There is currently no word if any promoter is currently working on making the re-match happen. Since the first fight Humby has switched coaches and is currently training with David Huey at the Muay Thai Academy in North Hollywood, CA. Parr has had great international success, he was one of the fighters on the Contender Asia, and has faced the likes of Yodsanklai, Buakaw, and Cosmo Alexandre since their first fight.
