LION FIGHT PROMOTIONS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES SECOND PROFESSIONAL
MUAY THAI EVENT SCHEDULED ON MAY 14

Las Vegas Local Sensation and 2010 Muay Thai Fighter of the Year Kevin Ross Billed as Main Event

March 22, Las Vegas, NV – Lion Fight Promotions, LLC announced today that its second Muay Thai fight card in Nevada is scheduled for May 14, 2011 at the Star of the Desert Arena located inside Buffalo Bill’s Hotel & Casino in Primm, Nevada. 

Battle in the Desert II will feature Kevin Ross, Las Vegas local sensation and 2010 Muay Thai Fighter of the Year (awarded by the Muay Thai Preservation Project), to headline as the main event. Ross has signed on with Mark Deluca of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to fight at 140 lbs. Ross is the current WBC Muay Thai Lightweight International Champion. Deluca is the current TBA-SA Muay Thai Lightweight World Champion.

The co-main event will feature a bout between Ky Hollenbeck of San Francisco, CA and Gregory Choplin of France. Hollenbeck and Choplin have agreed to fight at 160 lbs. Other professional matches signed on the card include:

·       Chaz Mulkey (Las Vegas, NV) vs. Ken Tran (Vancouver BC, Canada), 158 lbs

·       Shawn Yarborough (Las Vegas, NV) vs. Chris Romulo (New York, NY), 168 lbs

·       Scotty Leffler (Las Vegas, NV) vs. Jose Palacios (San Jose, CA), 145 lbs

·       Jeri Sitzes (Springfield, MO) vs, Misty Sutherland (Calgary, Canada) 120 lbs

·       Anthony Castrejon (Las Vegas, NV) vs. Ognjen Topic (Lodi, NJ), 125 lbs
