Former fighter and current president/CEO of Warrior Caste Productions Clifton Brown has officially launched the Muaythai Premier League. A press conference was held in Bangkok today to announce the league's inaugural event scheduled for September 2nd in Los Angeles, CA.
The Muaythai Premiere League in conjunction with the World Muaythai Council will host eight events world wide for their first season which will conclude in May, a second season is expected to start in September. A total of 40 fighters in five weight classes have been selected to compete in the leagues inaugural season.
Events are expected to be aired live world wide on ESPN Asia, Fox Sports Oceania, and Eurosport among other networks. Two weeks prior to every live event will be a documentary entitled "Into the Fire" which will focus on the fighters story as well as the country they are from and the history of the sport.

There is expected to be a total of eight fighters per weight class once the league starts. Clearly the Muaythai Premier League is expected to have an impact on Muay Thai world wide.
