Kenny Finister will return to action on September 24th when he takes on WBC Muay Thai Mexico National Champion Luis Bio under the WCK Muay Thai banner at Pala Casino. Finister took some time from his training schedule to answer a few questions for Muay Thai Authority about the upcoming bout.
MTA: You have an upcoming fight against Luis Bio on September 24th for WCK Muay Thai at Pala Casino, how has training for the fight been going?
Kenny: Training is going really well.
MTA: How much do you know about Luis as a fighter?
Kenny: I only know that Luis has faced a couple people I have faced and is the same weight class
MTA: Last year you expressed interest in fighting Luis Bio, is there any particular reason?
Kenny: I think people are a little sensitive when you take interest in a fighting a particular fighter. When I inquired about fighting him was because he didn't have an opponent and thought it would be a good match up.
MTA: Luis has more pro experience than you and has faced some international opponents, do you feel that it gives him an advantage over you?
Kenny: Experience is important but I am experienced too and fighting guys abroad doesn't mean shit to me, either a fighter is quality or not and I am not those guys he fought.
MTA: What do you feel are his strengths in the fight and what strengths do you feel you possess over him?
Kenny: I know that he can fight well and seen him beat a couple of guys, but my strength is I evolve in the ring, always have.
MTA: You haven't fought since July 2010, are you worried about ring rust at all?
Kenny: Ring rust....I drink WD-40 on the weekends.
MTA: Can you give us a prediction for the fight?
Kenny: Predictions, nah, but I will say this there is gonna be some limping and cringing in that ring.
MTA: What do you have planned after this fight if anything?
Kenny: I plan on fighting more abroad because waiting to fight in Cali will get you rusty. There is a lot of good Muay Thai coming up so I am gonna dip into it.
MTA: Is there anyone in particular you would like to fight?
Kenny: I do, I really do but I am gonna need to rack up some bouts in order to run my mouth.
hooorahhh to kenny for getting back in the ring, always puts on a good showing.
