Artem Levin defended his WBC Muay Thai Light Heavyweight World Championship in Russia on March 3rd at the Martial Arts Festival for Russia against Cheick Sidibe. Levin had no trouble as he continuously pushed the pace, out striking Sidibe from a distance and over powering him in the clinch. In the fourth round a knee from Levin opened up a cut over Sidibe's left eye. The referee called for time to have the doctor check on the cut at which point the bout was stopped, giving Levin the (T)KO victory. Levin’s name is being heavily thrown around as part of the Joe Schilling and Simon Marcus debate. Fans seem to be hungry to see Levin matched up against either of these two fighters. Which one it will be is still up for debate.
In the night’s only other title fight Khayal Dzhaniev defended his WBC European title by defeating Ibrahim Chiahou. After the third round Chiahou's corner called the fight, giving Dzhaniev the (T)KO victory.
