Born to Fight took place in Torrelavega, Spain this past Saturday (4/14). In the night’s main event Albert Kraus looked to defeat home town favorite Abraham Roqueni. From the opening bell Kraus pressed the action, but early on Roqueni was able to successfully counter Krause as he tried to push him back in into the ropes. In the second frame Kraus began to find a home for his strikes as he continued to press the action, but just like in the first Roqueni was able to fire back with successful strikes of his own. The second round was close, however, late in the round Kraus landed a knee that dropped Roqueni as the round ended. Despite Roqueni being knocked down he seemed to recover from the knee as the third round began. In the third round the fight really swung into the favor of Kraus as Roqueni seemed to slow down. Kraus was able to push the pace and land more strikes than Roqueni. When the final bell rang it seemed Kraus was going to walk away with a decision victory, but the judges had other thoughts as they awarded Roqueni the decision win. It was evident by the expression on Kraus face that he thought he had won the fight.
