Andy Howson out of fight with Romie Adanza at K-1 Rising due to injury

For those that have long been awaiting the re-match between Andy Howson and Romie Adanza, the wait will continue. The pair was scheduled to have a re-match of their original fight which took place at the Muay Thai in America event in early 2010 at the upcoming K-1 Rising event on September 8th.

Adanza won a close split decision that night and since then fans have been waiting for the pair to step in the ring again. It seemed everything was set to go for a re-match at K-1 Rising, but a broken foot and nose have forced Howson to withdraw from the bout. Muay Thai Authority confirmed the news of the injury with Howson who stated that hopefully the re-match happens later this year or in early 2013.

Howson was injured in his fight against Nobuchika Terado at this past weekends Krush event in Japan. From all accounts that we have heard it was one exciting fight from start to finish.
