Simon Marcus vs. Artem Levin expected to take place at Lion Fight 9 on March 15th in Las Vegas

It seems that the bout between Simon Marcus and Artem Levin will finally come to fruition. Sources close to the situation have informed Muay Thai Authority that Marcus and Levin have both agreed to meet at Lion Fight 9 in Las Vegas, NV on March 15th. The fight between Marcus and Levin has been announced on three previous occasions with the bout falling through each time.

Although Lion Fight has not officially announced the bout, some relief should come to fans that have been waiting to see this bout if it does happen under the Lion Fight promotional banner. Lion Fight has never had a main event or co-main event bout fall through, and with that track record it is probably the best promotion for this fight to happen on.

Marcus will be back in action after picking up two wins this past January in China. Marcus scored two knockouts on back to back opponents in one night as has become a trend for his fights in China. Marcus has built quite the following in America and should have the fans on his side come fight time.

Levin most recently was in action winning gold in the 2012 IFMA tournament, and before that he fought to a highly controversial draw with Steven Wakeling. Levin has been considered the best light heavyweight in the world for several years although in the last year fighters such as Simon Marcus and Steven Wakeling started to stir up debates about who is the best in the world and this bout can certainly bring some clarity to that debate.
