There was a lot of Muay Thai action this past weekend. The big event here in the United States was Push Kick Promotions “World Stand Off” which featured the main event between Chike Lindsay and Somluck Kamsing. You can read our full event recap of the event here.

March 1, 2013:
Friday Night Fights
Friday Night Fights ran into a streak of bad luck in the last few weeks before their event with their original main event of Rami Ibrahim vs. Mohammed Lemjerdine being scrapped due to an injury to Ibrahim. Their new main event of Preston Baptiste vs. Villi Bello was then affected when Baptiste pulled out of the fight. Stepping in to replace him on short notice was Turan Hasanov, but the bout was scrapped when Bello fell ill the week of the fight.
Chris Mauceri vs. Matt McCusker was set as the main event come fight time and if what a short night of work for Chris Mauceri as he scored a KO in the first round.

Gotti Promotions
In Italy Giorgio Petrosyan made quick work of Ole Larsen in what was seen by many as a fight to keep him busy before his next GLORY appearance. Petrosyan scored only his second stoppage victory in three years when he connected with a head kick and put Larsen down for good.
Journey Fight Series
In Calgary, Canada Shane Campbell and Sean McKinnon fought in the 160lb tournament final for the WMC North American title. Campbell continued his successful return to Muay Thai action by defeating Sean McKinnon for his fourth consecutive victory
Warriors Night
In France Yodsanklai Fairtex continued his resurgence by defeating Yohan Lidon by unanimous decision. Dylan Salvador also continued his current rise by defeating Kaew Fairtex by unanimous decision.
