Fridays on social media are called Flashback Friday so we figured we would Flashback here on MTA with some classic fights. The basic rule of thumb will be that for a fight to appear on our Flashback Fight it has to have taken place over five years ago. Our first Flashback Fight of the Week features two legends in the striking world, John Wayne Parr and Buakaw Banchamek.
10 years ago K-1 was going strong and a 22 year old Buakaw was starting to make his impact on the striking world. Known then as Buakaw Por. Pramuk he faced Australia's John Wayne Parr in the K-1 World Max Tournament. It was a close fight that ended up going to an extra round that showed how bad each one wanted the fight as they stepped the intensity up. When it was over it was still very close to call and Buakaw was awarded a 2 to 1 decision in the extra round. Sit back and enjoy this classic.
