Glory 18 set for November 7th in Oklahoma


It has been quite a few months since Kickboxing fans had heard anything from Glory, now the promotion has officially announced that Glory 18 will take place November 7th in Oklahoma. The event is booked for the Grand Casino Hotel & Resosrt in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

The night's main event will feature a Glory Lightweight Title Fight between current champion Davit Kiria and challenger Robin van Roosmalen. Kiria last competed at Glory 14 is Zagreb, Croatia where he captured the Glory Lightweight Title from Andy Ristie with an impressive come from behind knockout victory. Kiria and van Roosmalen have faced each other before with van Roosmalen defeating Kiria by unanimous decision at Glory 12

In the co-main event American Wayne Barrett will take on Jason Wilnis. Barrett recently made headlines when he signed an endorsement deal with Adidas. He has not competed since losing in the semi-finals of the Last Man Standing Tournament in a controversial decision. 

A light heavyweight contenders tournament will also be taking place on the night. Brian Collette will face Zack Mwekassa and Saulo Cavalari will take on Artem Vakhitov in the tournament semi-finals.
