Borzoo Honargohar - Finding a Muay Thai gold mine

Borzoo Honargohar will be stepping into the ring to fight Artem Sharoshkin on March 5th at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, CA for Stand Up Promotions. The Saekson Janjira product will be looking to make an impression when he fights in front of the California crowd. Being from Texas he is likely not going to have the fan vote on his side, but none the less he will be looking to entertain them. Little do they know that if it wasn't for lady luck he probably wouldn't be standing in the ring on March 5th fighting for their entertainment. Well he might be fighting on March 5th just not for Stand Up Promotions. Why? Because Stand up Promotions is a Muay Thai promotion and Borzoo was looking for a boxing gym before he ever thought of training Muay Thai.

At the age of fifteen Borzoo was looking to dabble in boxing, instead he wandered into a gym that was located next to his house, and it turned out to be Saekson Janjira's gym. Since walking in seven years ago Borzoo hasn't looked back, and has embraced the challenge that comes with Muay Thai.

"When I was 15 I was looking for a boxing gym and just so happened to find the gold mine right next to my house." said Borzoo. "Saekson Janjira's Muay Thai gym made me fall in love with Muay Thai more then I ever could with boxing and I've been training there ever since (7 years)."

Borzoo doesn't take training as a casual activity, he dedicates his time to mastering the craft. There are no late party nights for the 22 year old, instead his time is spent training, not just to get better, but eventually become a champion and make his teacher as well as himself proud.

"The toughest challenge, I would say, is all that I sacrifice for the fights." said Borzoo. "I go to bed early, I don't go out and drink, I don't get see my friends, I just train and that is probably the hardest part."

Standing in his way on March 5th is Artem Sharoshkin, another hard working and dedicated fighter. Borzoo doesn't know much about Artem, but it doesn't worry him. He feels ready, and respects Artem, but training with Saekson Janjira has him well prepared. This preparation, and the toughness Artem will bring to the fight is what he feels will make it an entertaining fight.

"Saekson Janjira is the best Muay Thai teacher in the world in my opinion. I walked into his gym when I was 15 years old and he has forever changed my life." said Borzoo. "He prepares me for every scenario that I could possibly come across in a fight regardless of my opponent and I carry that confidence of preparation into the ring. Not to mention a night training in his gym is as hard as it gets."

Humble, as well as talented Borzoo won't make a prediction for his March 5th fight. He believes in his heart that he will win, and states that as a fighter you have to believe in yourself. The only guarantee he gives is that he will push hard, and fight hard so that the audience can be entertained.

As far as the future past March 5th, Borzoo doesn't look to pick and chose opponents he just wants to fight his way into championship contention. There are no names he wants to call out, he will fight anyone that he is offered knowing that with Saekson's guidance he can come out on top.
