Buakaw Por. Pramuk faced Tomaki Makino at Thai Fight Japan and seemed to have no trouble implementing his attack against the taller Makino. Buakaw scored big in the second round when a right elbow cut Makino under his left eye and a left elbow that followed sent him to the canvas. Makino received a count, but came back into the fight meeting Buakaw in the center of the ring. A left by Buakaw later floored Makino again, but once again he came out looking to exchange with Buakaw after the count. After a right by Buakaw hurt Makino, he followed up with with two more punches before the referee stepped in and halted the fight. It seemed as if the stoppage might have been a bit premature, but Buakaw clearly had Makino hurt against the ropes. Buakaw looked in excellent form, despite Makino at times landed some very solid strikes of his own, Buakaw seemed unfazed by them.
Yodsanklai tasted defeat at the hands of Yasuhito Shirasu as he faced some early trouble against Shirasu. In the opening round Shirasu connected with a right-left combination that dropped Yodsanklai and later in the round with a right that knocked him down. In the second round Yodsanklai came out looking to attack the body of Shirasu and he seemed to have the upper hand although Shirasu did not back down. At one point Shirasu connected with a left hook that seemed to drop Yodsanklai again, but the referee did not count is a knockdown. Yodsanklai continued to be the agressor through the remainder of the second round and the third round as well, but in the end the two early knockdowns proved to be too much to overcome as he dropped a unanimous decision to Shirasu.
