Shane Oblonsky vs. Zhipeng Zhou set for January 1st, 2012 in China

Shane Oblonsky will be back in action on January 1st, 2012 against Zhipeng Zhou. The bout is set to take place under the Wu Ling Feng promotional banner in China; it will be a re-match of their October 22nd fight, which took place in Las Vegas under the WCK Muay Thai brand. Oblonsky won the first meeting by split decision.

Oblonsky has fought twice in 2011 going 1-1. His loss came by decision to Bryce Krause at Stand Up Promotions "Oblonsky vs. Krause" event this past summer. The win in October against Zhou was the second time that Oblonsky had entered a Wu Ling Feng bout as an under dog and defeated his Chinese opponent. In late 2010, Oblonsky defeated Xu Yan as part of the WCK's Wu Ling Feng Spectacular.

Zhou suffered only his third career loss against Oblonsky. He has fought under the popular Wu Ling Feng banner, representing China for quite some time and compiled a record of 16-3. The Wu Ling Feng brand, which is very popular in China, will be airing the event on Hunan TV.
