Things to watch for at Lion Fight Promotions "Battle in the Desert 4"

On November 19th Lion Fight Promotions will host their fourth event of the year, "Battle in the Desert 4". The event is scheduled to take place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV, their first three events of the year took place at Buffalo Bill's at the state line in Primm, NV. Lion Fight Promotions jumped on to the Muay Thai scene by coming out of the gets showcasing some of the best American and international fighters on a consistent basis. With their final event just around the corner we decided to point out four things that you should be on the lookout for at "Battle in the Desert 4".

1. Can Chaz Mulkey continue his climb to the top?
Chaz Mulkey has put together an excellent year, he is 4-0 thus far and on November 19th will look to make it 5-0 when he takes on Simon Chu. Mulkey made his name by taking difficult fights early on in his career, he was able to hold his own most of the time, but it didn't always end up with him winning. At the start of 2011 Mulkey's record stood at 3-4 because of this, although he has now worked it back to 7-4 it wasn't because he took easier fights it was because he took smarter fights. Fights that would help his career progress and help take him to the next level. His final test of the year will be against Simon Chu and if Mulkey can cap his year off with a win over the hard hitting Chu it should set a nice tone for the start of 2012.

2. How will Las Vegas welcome Lion Fight Promotions?
Lion Fight Promotions is making the move from the state line to the shiny lights of Vegas for "Battle in the Desert 4". Their first event at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino should be very interesting. They are not only now in Vegas, which offers anyone coming out to the fights more to do before and after the event, they are now open to the free flow of people moving around Las Vegas. At the state line you basically were going there to watch Muay Thai; in Las Vegas you can go their to watch The Blue Man Group on one night and end up catching some Muay Thai action the next. Las Vegas should open the door to many new spectators, and with a hot spot like the Hard Rock, Muay Thai can only benefit.

3. Will Rami Ibrahim be able to shine?
Rami Ibrahim will be fighting Coke Chunhawat for the WBC Muay Thai lightweight national title at "Battle in the Desert 4", the Philadelphia based fighter has been waiting a long time for his chance to get his recognition. Ibrahim is not only a fighter in the ring, but out. He has the desire to make the world a better place and is free spoken and ready to fight the good fight. He is very insightful and if you ever have the opportunity chat with him do not pass it up. He is today's definition of "The People's Champ" and on November 19th he will be looking to shine under the Las Vegas lights.

4. How will Kit Cope look in his first fight back?
Kit Cope is a controversial figure in combat sports, saying what he thinks and doing what he wants. With his return to Muay Thai after quite a few years off it will be interesting if he can still compete at a high level, especially against and up and comer like Jose Palacios. If Cope is serious about getting back into Muay Thai and competing consistently, he will be the type of lightning rod that can help attract some new attention to Muay Thai. You either like him or hate, but he will grab hold of your attention either way.
