Results and Recap: K-1 Heavyweight Final 16

The K-1 Heavyweight Final 16 (@K1GlobalTV)took place this weekend and three American’s were part of the 16 man field. Jarrell Miller (@BigBabbyMiller), Xavier Vigney (@XavierVigney), and Randy Blake were all looking to advance to the next round of the tournament, but only Miller was able to punch his ticket into the next round.

Miller defeated Arnold Oborotov by decision; he scored a knockdown in the opening frame but was unable to finish the fight. It was a good win for the American fighter and he now becomes the only American left in the tournament after Xavier Vigney was KO’d by Zabit Samedov and Randy Blake lost a decision to Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic.

Also advancing to the next round of the heavyweight tournament are Ben Edwards, Hesdy Gerges, Ismael Londt, Makoto Uehara, and Catalin Morosanu. Edwards was the only one of those fighters to finish his fight, it was a second round KO of Raul Catinas.
