The rumored bout between Kem Sitsongpeenong and Yodsanklai Fairtex is now official of December 30th in Pattaya, Thailand. Yokkao Boxing will host the event “Muay Thai Combat Mania 2012 Pattaya”. The venue is set as Pattaya World Boxing Stadium.
Yodsanklai Fairtex and Kem Sitsongpeenong will easily be the highest profile fight featuring two Thai’s. Both fighters have been able to achieve international success and it isn’t very common for two Thai fighters that are on the international circuit to fight one another. Yodsanklai is the current WMC middleweight world champion, and is a former WBC champion as well as King’s Cup tournament champion. Kem is the current WBC super welterweight champion and recently won the Toyota Vigo Marathon tournament; he is also the 2011 Thai Fight 154lb tournament champion.
The fight will take place at 156lbs with both fighters having to weigh-in the morning of the fight.
