Sean Kearney replaces Hakeem Dawodu, now faces Malaipet on short notice at Lion Fight 10

Malaipet Sasiprapa was set to fight Hakeem Dawodu this Friday at Lion Fight 10 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, but will now face Sean Kearney. It is not clear why Dawodu will not be able to face Malaipet on Friday, but it has been confirmed by Kearney's camp that he has accepted to take the short notice fight.

The bout will be a re-match from this past March. Malaipet and Kearney fought at Push Kick Promotions "World Stand Off" in a bout that Malaipet won by unanimous decision. Kearney will be looking to avenge his loss to Malaipet. The first fight was closer than the judges decision indicated with a few people thinking Kearney did enough to pull out the decision. Since his loss to Malaipet, Kearney has won three consecutive fights all by stoppage in Thailand. It would be a huge win for Kearney to avenge his loss to Malaipet as well as great momentum leading up to his September 28 fight against Matt Embree.
