Matt Embree vs. Kevin Ross re-match expected for Lion Fight 13

Matt Embree and Kevin Ross are expected to square off in a re-match at Lion Fight 13 on February 7, 2014 in Las Vegas. Sources close to both fighters and the promotion have confirmed that both fighters have signed on for the fight. No official announcement has been made yet by Lion Fight.

Embree and Ross previously fought at Lion Fight 10 this past July. Embree won the first encounter by unanimous decision after a hard fought five round fight. Embree was able to control the early rounds using a solid counter attack and some nice sweeps. Ross rallied in the final stanza as Embree seemed to fatigue, but it was too little too late on the judges score cards. It will be interesting to see what strategy each fighter brings to the re-match. Since their first encounter Embree has gone 1-1 with his loss coming to Sean Kearney and Ross 0-1 with his loss coming to Tetsuya Yamato.
