The Friday Night Fights 2013 Season Finale took place last night in New York at The Modern. The main event featured a bout between two of New York's most popular fighters, Joe Sampieri and Aaron Fisher had city bragging rights on the line and when it was all over it Sampieri who walked away the winner. For five rounds Sampieri controlled the fight using elbows in the clinch and sweeps to stifle Fisher to earn a unanimous decison.
Chris Kwiatkowski got back on the winning track with a (T)KO over Omar Vega. It took a little over a minute into the first round for Kwiatkowski to deliver a kick that broke the arm of Vega. With the win Kwiatkowski ends a two fight losing streak.
Chris Mauceri improved his pro record to 5-0 with a win over Turan Hasanov. Originally scheduled to face Deshawn Robinson, Hasanov took the fight on short notice. Mauceri was able to stay a step ahead of Hasanov through the fight. He used constant pressure to dictate the fight and looked strong in the clinch with a steady dose of elbows. In the end it was a unanimous verdict for Mauceri.
