Challenger 10: Night of Pain Results

There was some great Muay Thai action taking place in Canada this past weekend. Challenger 10: Night of Pain took place in Calgary and featured a main event bout between Canadian young gun Hakeem Dawodu and Thailand's Sam Samut. Stepping into the ring Dawodu had a 7-0 as a pro and when he walked out he was 8-0. The fight with Samut went the distance, but Dawodu was in complete control from the beginning. He was elusive in the ring and countered well, he was also able to open a decent cut on the forehead of Samut. As the fight wore on it became more evident that a finish would be needed for Samut to win and as he got more aggressive searching for a knockout, Dawodu was more than happy to continue to fire back strikes and engage with him. In the end the unanimous decision in favor Dawodu was an easy decision for the judges.

In the night's co-main event Mark MacKinnon of Canada and Jason Caldwell of the United states fought for roughly 20 seconds before there bout came to an end. Both men came out aggressively and as Caldwell pushed forward with strikes a well place counter elbow by MacKinnon turned his lights out. It was an exciting finish to a short and explosive fight.

  1. Hakeem Dawodu's bout was for the WMC Intercontinental Welterweight MuayThai Title. After the WMC World Title... this is the second biggest and most important belt for the WMC.

  2. Muay thai boxing shorts are also available for boxing sessions. These are very much in demand and are cheap to buy too. These muay thai boxing shorts are part of muay thai gear and are very last longing for long sessions of fights.
