4 Muay Thai fights set for tonight's Bangkok Fight Night "Shockwave" event in Atlanta

In the Muay Thai main event on Fri, April 5th, Atlanta Muay Thai star Chike Lindsay returns to fight the ever-explosive James Martinez for the WBC title in the biggest Bangkok Fight Night to date. In the co-main event, prepare for a clash of souls as Muay Thai sensation Stephen Richards and the ever exciting Alex Berrios put their records and reputations on the line for the WBC U.S. Title. BFN Champion Dexter “Bolo” Carthon also steps up to fight the bone-crushing veteran, Kevin Brooks, and rising star Gui Curry goes toe to toe with the hard hitting Ramonte Chatman.

Results and Recap for CSC 33: Ognjen Topic edges Jay Matias in main event

There was some exciting Muay Thai action taking place in Richmond, VA last night. For the night’s main event the WKA sanctioned their first Pro Full Rules US Muay Thai title bout between Ognjen Topic and Jay Matias. With both fighters considered some of the best young talent in America the fight was expected to showcase it future stars and that it did.

The fight went the distance and as expected there were fireworks. Both Topic and Matias used everything in their arsenal throughout the fight, truly showcasing why Muay Thai is called the science of 8 limbs. It was what the WKA’s first pro rules US title fight should look like. The fight was a back and forth and the biggest winner was the crowd in attendance, but in the ring Topic was declared the new WKA Pro Full Rules Muay Thai US Lightweight Champion after taking home a unanimous decision.

Fight Card for Bangkok Fight Night 10

Bangkok Fight Night 10 will take place at the Center Stage Theater in Atlanta, GA on June 17th. Headlining the event will be a Muay Thai fight between Chike Lindsay and Kenny Finister. Both fighters will be fighting after long layoffs from Muay Thai action, over a year for Lindsay and eleven months for Finister.

Lindsay last competed in Muay Thai action in December of 2009 when he lost a decision to Kevin Ross, he has had a pair of MMA fights since then. Finister last fought in July of 2010 when he lost via TKO to Ky Hollenbeck.

Also fighting on the card will be Warren Thompson who has been busy fighting MMA as of late, he will be taking on Kevin Brooks. Read below for entire Muay Thai fight card for Bangkok Fight Night 10.
