It seems there has been some confusion concerning Ky Hollenbeck fighting for a WBC Muay Thai world title on Hainan Island, China. John Baker the head of the WBC Muay Thai in America has informed Muay Thai Authority that he has confirmed with Secretary General Patrick Cusick that there has been no request for Ky Hollenbeck to fight for a WBC Muay Thai Middleweight World Title.
Rumors started about Hollenbeck fighting for a world title after he pulled out of a fight with Joe Schilling which would have taken place on March 5th. Hollenbeck then informed Muay Thai Authority that he would likely be facing Yohan Lidon in April, and speculation of him fighting Lidon for his WBC middlweight title continued grow.
