Denis Grachev vs. Fernando Gonzalez
In what is being dubbed a Muay Thai vs. MMA fight Denis Grachev will take on "The Menifee Maniac" Fernando Gonzalez. If everything goes as it should, Denis Grachev should will win by KO. It's a fight and Gonzalez is a tough guy so anything can happen, but it seems like a long shot that Gonzalez who's MMA style is mainly ground and pound will be able to out strike Grachev, an IKF Muay Thai champion. As this past weekends Shane Oblonsky vs. Anthony McDavitt fight on the MTAA show demonstrated, MMA fighters who's bread and butter involves the ground game should not step into the ring with an experienced Muay Thai fighter, more often than not they will end up on the wrong end of KO.
Prediction: Denis Grachev by KO in the 2nd Rd.
IKKC Muaythai International Super Bantamweight
Romie Adanza (Champion) vs. Paulo Da Silva
This will be the fourth meeting between Adanza and Da Silva, with Adanza having won two of the previous three fights, including the last one which took place in July of 2009. Adanza used leg kicks to defeat Da Silva, and this fight should be verysimilar, except with Da Silva coming in ready for those leg kicks. Adanza won't finish Da Silva this time but a decision victory will go his way.
Prediction: Romie Adanza by Unanimous Decision
IKKC Muaythai International Super Lightweight Title
Byoung-Ku Park vs. Justin Greskiewicz
Park will take on Greskiewicz in what should be an entertaining fight. Greskiewicz is a game fighter even when he is outmatched he doesn't back down, this is going to be a close fight as both are likely going to be willing to meet in the middle and exchange. Park seems like the pick here but, toughness will help Greskiewicz pull through in this fight and take home the win.
Prediction: Justin Greskiewicz by Split Decision
Jack Thames vs. Eric Utsch
Jack Thames stepped in for an injured Jared Lara against Utsch, and this will be another close fight. Thames was able to beat Mike Ryan this past August, and is back in action a month later. Utsch will likely be the aggressor and it will pay dividends as he wins by TKO.
Prediction: Eric Utsch by TKO in the 2nd Rd.
Joey Pagliuso vs. Sean Dizay
Pagliuso comes off of a close split decision loss in China, and will be looking to make a statement with Dizay. Dizay will meet Pagliuso punch for punch, kick for kick and so forth and this one will end up in the judges hands. Fortunately for Pagliuso he will be on the winning end.
Prediction: Joey Pagliuso by Split Decision
Luis Bio vs. Harris Norwood
Harris Norwood steps in as a late replacement and he's not doing himself any favors by taking on Bio, who is coming off a TKO win over Cyrus Washington. This will be another TKO victory for Bio as he picks Norwood apart.
Prediction: Luis Bio by TKO in the 3rd Rd.
