Fight card announced for the Muaythai Premier League's "Stars & Stripes" event

The time that most Muay Thai fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. The fight card for the Muaythai Premier League's September 2nd "Stars & Stripes" event has been announced. "Stars & Stripes" will take place at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, CA and as many already know there are going to be several high profile Muay Thai fighters from across the globe on the card, however, this is one of the greatest Muay Thai cards ever announced. The fight card is stacked from top to bottom as many of these fights could serve as main events on any other fight card.

An already confirmed fight between Buakaw and Warren Stevelmna has been made official and will be for the WMC 154lb (69.9kg) world title. 

Another huge fight announced is a rematch between current WBC Muay Thai middleweight world champion and It's Showtime world champion Yohan Lidon as he takes on Yodsanklai Fairtex. Yodsanklai defeated Lidon the first time they met back in 2008, the fight was stopped due to an eye injury Lidon had suffered. The bout will be part of promotion's league format. 

You would think that an event featuring Buakaw and Yodsanklai couldn’t get anymore exciting, but the Muaythia Premier League has pulled out all of the stops.

In addition to the two bouts just mentioned, league action will also feature Marco Pique as he takes on Nieky Holken, Julie Kitchen as she faces Martina Jindrova and Nathan Corbett will clash with Tomas Hron. That still isn't the entire fight card, you can read below to see all of the fights scheduled for the event. The only American making an appearance is Baxter Humby as he faces Zidov Dominik for the WMC 154lb (69.9kg) intercontinental title. This event will feature the American debut of many of the worlds top fighters.

*Despite Miriam Nakamoto being shown on the poster she will not be fighting on the event. She has recently withdrawn due a knee injury and will no longer be participating in the league portion of the Muaythai Premier League.
