Shane Campbell talks upcoming fight agianst Troy Sheridan in the semi-finals of the Journey Fight Series tournament

Shane Campbell (@ShaolinStyleMMA) will be taking on Troy Sheridan (@SheridanMMA) on November 3, 2012 at Journey Fight Series VIII as part of the semi-finals of the 160lb tournament. Campbell punched his ticket into the semi-finals with a knockout of Nate Chambers; he now takes on Sheridan who is currently on a five fight win streak. Shane took some time from his busy schedule to answer a few questions for Muay Thai Authority about the upcoming bout.

MTA: Shane you are fighting Troy Sheridan in the Journey Fight Series 160lb tourney semi-finals. How familiar are you with Troy?

Shane: Yes I am. I have known Troy for many years. I have known his coach and team since I first started as an amateur.

MTA: How has training been going for this fight?

Shane: Training is always great!

MTA: How important do you think it is to watch video on Troy to prepare to fight him?

Shane: I never really watch video on my opponents.

MTA: Where do you think you hold the advantages in the fight?

Shane: I think my advantage lies in my experience.

MTA: Many consider you the favorite to win this tournament, does that add any pressure?

Shane: Nah, no pressure. In every aspect of my life I do what I want. I don't care what others think.

MTA: Now you were a last second replacement into this tourney, you had been fighting MMA for the last few years. When this tournament is over are you going back to MMA or will we still see you fighting Muay Thai?

Shane: I love both sports and while this tourney is ongoing I have been fighting MMA. I will continue to do both.

MTA: Can we get a prediction for the fight?

Shane: Not sure how the fight will turn out but Troy has been on fire and has great cardio so I think it could go either way.

MTA: Who do you think will win the other tournament bout between Preston Baptiste and Sean McKinnon and who would you prefer to fight in the finals?

Shane: I think Sean is going to win that fight. Don't care who wins.

MTA: Any words for your supporters?

Shane: Don't be shy. I want to hear some ouus, and awayyys during the fight. If your a fan please add me up on facebook and twitter. Shane Shaolin Campbell
