Jennifer Colomb will be fighting Cris "Cyborg" Justino on short notice this Friday at Lion Fight 11 in Las Vegas. The French fighter will try to add Justino's name to her list of victories, she is 10-0 with all 10 wins coming by knockout. A huge win against an MMA star such as Justino would definitely put Jennifer Colomb on everyone's radar. We were able to catch up with Jennifer and talk about the upcoming fight.
MTA: This is a short notice fight. Were you already preparing for another fight? And if not, are there any concerns over the fight being short notice?
Jennifer: Yes, I was preparing for a Fight for November when they called me for this fight, but a fighter must always be ready and I train hard all year. So, no problems for me.
MTA: You're fighting Cris Cyborg Justino, a huge name in MMA. Does that add any pressure for you to prove that an MMA fighter can't come in and beat a fighter who mainly focuses on striking?
Jennifer: The only thing i want to prove is that no one is unbeatable. I know that Cris is a great fighter and I consider her as this first.
MTA: From watching Cyborg fight in MMA, are there any areas in her striking that you feel you can exploit and take advantage of?
Jennifer: I think that I will fight in pure Muay Thai rules - that is my speciality. I don't make plans before my fights.
MTA: How do you feel about the attention this fight is receiving mainly being because the popularity Cyborg has in MMA?
Jennifer: I feel a little pressure, but I stay concentrated on my fight .
MTA: For fans here in North America that might not be familiar with you, what can they expect to see from you in this fight?
Jennifer: I will do my best to offer a great show to all the people present.
