With Gokhan Saki officially stripped of his Glory Light Heavyweight Title it did not take long before the belt was up for grabs again. Glory has announced that Zack Mwekassa and Saulo Cavalari will fight for the vacant title on the Kickboxing portion of Bellator 142: Dynamite.
In addition to winning the Glory Light Heavyweight Championship, Mwekassa will be look to avenge a knockout loss to Cavalari that occurred at Glory 18 in November of last year. Mwekassa went into the third round with Cavalari before falling victim to a head kick. Since the loss Mwekassa has fought once for Glory, he defeated Carlos Brooks by first round KO this past June at Glory 22.
Cavalari is riding a three fight win streak with his latest being a decision win over Artem Vakhitov at Glory 20. The Brazilian should have his confidence soaring as he has already defeated Mwekassa in convincing fashion.
Cavalari and Mwekassa are both known for having knockout power, this fight should be a treat for fans. It might have taken over a year for the Glory Light Heavyweight to be up for grabs, but with these two in the ring it could take a few minutes for the new champion to be crowned.
