Dave Nielsen talks upcoming bout with Ryan Madigan

On August 18th Dave Nielsen and Ryan Madigan will meet in WBC National Light Heavyweight title fight at Pala Casino. Nielsen took some time from his training to answer a few questions about his upcoming bout with Madigan as well as discuss his future plans.

Miriam Nakamoto vs. Julie Kitchen set for August 18th WCK Muay Thai event

The most anticipated fight in women’s Muay Thai is set to take place August 18th at Pala Casino & Spa in Pala, CA. Miriam Nakamoto and Julie Kitchen have signed to fight under the WKC Muay Thai banner this coming August. The fight has been over a year in the making and fans will finally get to see these two spectacular fighters tangle in the ring. On the line will be the WCK Champion of Champions title.

The bout was originally set to take place in December of 2010, but an injury to Kitchen postponed the fight which was then expected to take place in 2011. It seemed Nakamoto and Kitchen would finally be meeting in the ring when both signed to compete in the Muaythai Premier League, but a knee injury forced Nakamoto out of the league. With something occurring both times this fight was scheduled that forced it to be cancelled, fans need to keep their fingers crossed that the third time will be a charm.

Official Press Release for March 26th "Road to WCK" event

Pala, Calif. – March 16, 2011 – After successful launch of the first all-amateur muay thai and MMA “Road to WCK” event, In Sync Productions president, Dennis Warner, announced the next fight night on March 26th, 2011 at Pala Fitness Center.

“As a sign of great things to come, the first “Road to WCK” event revealed the new IAMTF US National Women’s Lightweight Champion, Amber Pope of CSA, Dublin, Calif.  I believe, Amber is now an impressive11-0, and is ready to continue her bright combat future.  Tiffany VanSoest of Black House Noguiera wowed the crowd during her MMA debut by her strategic KO over Kate McGray.  Tiffany has also been chosen to fight in the WCK Muaythai event in Nanning, China on May 23,” commented Dennis Warner. “We also got a glimpse of what talent is coming into the industry in the next 5 to ten years.  It’s very exciting to watch the young fighters be spotlighted,” he added.

Monthly "Road to WCK" series kicks of February 26th

On February 26th, WCK Muay Thai will kick off "Road to the WCK". It will be a monthly series featuring amateur Muay Thai and MMA bouts. The events will be under the guidance of WBC Muay Thai.

“We see an acute need to bring new generation of fighters into Muay Thai in the United States, to give them the opportunity to develop their skills from the ground up in a safe environment, so that, eventually, they can have a smooth transition into the professional arena.  I believe, it will be this generation, that will take Muay Thai to the next level in the US and internationally,” stated WCK Muay Thai promoter Dennis Warner.  “We will be working closely with WBC MuayThai to ensure the highest level of safety

Joe Davidson vs. Travis Garlitz tentatively rescheduled for Oct. 2nd at Pala Casino

Joe Davidson and Travis Garlitz were supposed to meet on Aug. 28 on the card for WCK Muay Thai at Buffalo Bill's in Primm Valley, NV. However, Davidson was forced to pull out of the fight on the day of due to an illness.

It seems that now both fighters will get a chance to fight again, Davidson confirmed that he will be added to the WCK Muay Thai fight card at Pala Casino in Southern California. Davidson stated that at the moment it seems Garlitz will be his opponent but that it is not certain.
