Coke Chunhawat officially added to Journey Fight Series 140lb tournament

With Kevin Ross receiving a few injuries after his February 12th fight with Sittisak Por Sirichai, the door was opened for Coke Chunhawat to enter the Journey Fight Series 140lb tournament. Despite rumors of Coke being part of the tournament, nothing became official until today.

Coke will be entering the tournament coming off a stoppage victory over Scotty Leffler at Lion Fight Promotions "Battle in the Desert". Coke opened up in the second round of his fight with Leffler, and bloodied him up forcing a doctor stoppage between the second and third rounds.

Coke joins a talent filled tournament field which included Justin Greskiewicz, Josh Palmer, Nate Smandych, Matt Embree, Mark DeLuca, Rami Ibrahim, and Parwez Ghulam. It will be interesting to see where the random draw which will take place at the weigh-ins places Coke, he defeated Embree via split decision in a very close fight last year, and it is probably safe to say Embree wouldn't might getting a re-match.

The tournament is set to kick off March 5th at the Century Casino in Calgary, Canada. The semi-finals will then take place in June, and the finals in October.
