Cyrus Washington - "I'm the best from the U.S.A."

There has been a lot of talk recently about the best 165lb fighters from the United States. Joe Schilling and Ky Hollenbeck were set to fight for the WBC National Title, but Hollenbeck withdrew due to an upcoming world title shot, and Schilling will now face Chase Green. All of these guy are top fighters in the division, but Cyrus Washington wants everyone to hold their horses.

Washington contacted Muay Thai Authority with a simple message "I'm the best from the U.S.A." Washington has been living in Thailand for the last few years, and recently returned to the United States for a short time, and plans on heading to South Africa to train by mid March, and then after a month or two there he will return to Thailand as he put it "for a long time".

Washington wants everyone to know that he is ready to get in the ring with anyone that wants to doubt he is the best 165 - 175lb fighter from the United States. He also isn't too happy that he hasn't received the opportunity to fight in Elite Boxing's Thailand vs. Challenger series. For those not familiar with the series, it is basically Thai fighters vs. fighters from other countries such as Germany, France, Italy, etc. In 2010 there was no Thailand vs. America series, but maybe it will happen in 2011, in which case Washington and some of Americas other top talents can display their skills.

So pretty much to summarize Washington's message, I'm the best 165-175lb fighter from America, and I'm in the states right now, let me get in the ring and prove it.
