Cyrus Washington was originally scheduled face Dave Zuniga at Canadian Fighting Championship 7 (CFC 7) in Winnipeg, Canada. Washington was not allowed into Canada due to past issues that are currently unknown. Taking his place against Zuniga is Gregory Choplin, a highly skilled fighter from France who currently resided in Florida. The bout will be for the IKF North American title and should be a very exciting fight between two highly skilled fighters.
Choplin recently competed against American Ky Hollenbeck in a WBC Muay Thai world title fight at Lion Fight Promotions "Battle in the Desert 2" where he dropped a decision. Choplin is a strong technical fighter and despite taking the fight on short notice, is a dangerous opponent for Zuniga. Currently Choplin is ranked #6 in the world in the WBC Muay Thai super middleweight rankings.
