Friday Night Fights Muay Thai beginning West Coast expansion in Seattle

Friday Night Fights Muay Thai is set to hold its first event on the West Coast tonight. The New York based promotion’s all amateur event in Seattle, WA is expected to be the first step in continuing to grow their brand on a national level. FNFMT is the longest, consistently running Muay Thai promotion in North America and are now looking to make an impact on the West Coast.

“It’s clear to most those in the industry as well as the fans, that the sport of Muay Thai has achieved critical mass. It’s an exciting time for the sport as well as Friday Night Fights” said promoter Justin Blair. “We’re not only the longest running series in North America, but now FNFMT is operating on a national level.”

Although tonight’s event will feature an amateur card, the long term plan for the promotion is to start bringing in professional talent to compete.

“Our plan is to bring professional Muay Thai to the North West in the future as well” said Blair.

With Most of the Muay Thai action in the United States taking place in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Las Vegas, the addition of Seattle to fight scene should provide fighters more opportunities to compete.
