Take-One Sixteen took place in New York this past Friday. The event was headlined by the only pro fight of the night between Brett Hlavacek and Strahinja Ivanovic.
In the opening round both fighters looked to feel each other out and not much action took place. In the second round Ivanovic tried to turn up the pressure and started letting his hand go, but Hlavacek able to use his kicks to pick him off. In the third round the pace started to slow and the fight went into the clinch where Hlavacek and Ivanovic battled for the upper hand the final three rounds. Hlavacek was then awarded a split decision victory.
