Not much shuffling in the updated Super Lightweight Rankings. The only change that takes place from the previous rankings is that Matt Embree now takes the number one spot after previously being ranked number two.
1. Matt Embree (21-3)
Embree is 2-0 in 2012 so far with a unanimous decision win over Coke Chunhawat in February and a split decision win over Nils Widlund in May. The Siam No. 1 product is now scheduled to face Lerdsila Chumpairtour on August 18th at Push Kick Promotions “Thailand vs. The Americas” event in Pomona, CA. Embree is known for his technical style and pin point accuracy, something which has many fans clamoring for a fight with American stand out Kevin Ross. The pair was scheduled to fight in May until a knee injury forced Ross to withdraw from the bout.
