Legend 3 Milan Results

Legend 3 took place in Milan, Italy April 5, 2014 with a stacked card. Murthel Groenhart vs. Dzhabar Akerov headlined the event with Groenhart taking a decisive victory over Askerov with a first round KO. Paul Daley would also earn a KO over Alexander Surjko in the 3rd round of his bout, giving the MMA star a redeeming victory with Legend fans, having dropped a unanimous decision to Alexander Yakovlev in Legend 2.

Sittichai Sitsongpeenong continues onto the next of an 8-fight win streak with a unanimous decision win over Mohamed Khamal. Both fighters come from formidable fight records, though Khamal has been much less active as of late, fighting last in 2012 with a victory over Saiyok Pumpanmuang.

The Legend show so far has provided a high-production setting for some of the world's best fighters. The event's target market has so far been Russia and throughout Europe, broadcasting throughout the region.

Legend III: Pour Homme set for April 5th in Italy

Legend III is set for Milan, Italy on April 5, 2014. The Legend III: Pour Homme will mark a cross over between Legend promoter Ruslan Suleymanov and Oktagon promoter Carlo Di Blasi.

The event will feature a slew of fights featuring high profile fighters inclduing Andy Souwer vs. Yuri Bessmertny, Murthel Groenhart vs. Dzhabar Askerov, Armen Petrosyan vs. Alim Nabiev, and the return of Mohamed Khamal against Sittichai Sitsongpeenong. Khamal retired in 2012 after five consecutive high profile wins over the likes of Saiyok, Michael Dicks, Liam Harrison, Robin van Roosmalen, and Mosab Amrani.

Liam Harrison talks about loss to Mohamed Khamal, not happy with judges scoring and referee

World ranked UK Muay Thai fighter Liam Harrison dropped a split decision to Mohamed Khamal this past Saturday at the Muaythai Premier League's (MPL) "Strength and Honour" event in Padova, Italy. Harrison was not happy with the decision of the bout as well as the work the referee did in the ring. Harrison was kind enough to speak to Muay Thai Authority about the judging and the refereeing that he felt kept him from getting the win.

MTA: Looking back at the fight now, why do you feel he got the judges' decision over you and in your mind is there any sound reason for him getting that decision?

Liam: The only reason I can think of is they have no idea how to score a muaythai fight. I got a count in round 1 which was total bull shit too which would have also played a factor in it.

Yohan Lidon and five others added to the MPL roster

French Muay Thai champion Yohan Lidon is one of six fighters that have been added to the stable of top international talent the Muaythai Premier League is stockpiling. Lidon is a It's Showtime, WBC Muay Thai, and WKN champion, as well as an F-1 tournament champion.

The other five fighters signed by the Muaythai Premier League are Angelique Pitiot, Mohamed Khamal, Abdarhmane Coulibaly, Mehdi Zatout, and Ilona Wijmans.
