Sheymon Da Silva Moraes will be fighting Lerdsila "Mr. Lightning" on July 16th at Push Kick Promotions "World Stand Off". He was kind enough to take some time and answer a few questions for Muay Thai Authority about his upcoming fight. The 20 year old Brazilian holds a record of 49-10, and represents Team Nogueira.
MTA: You will be fighting Lerdsila "Mr. Lightning" at Push Kick Promotions "World Stand Off" in California July 16th. How much do you know about Lerdsila?
Sheymon: Yes, I learned that he would fight him when you guys contacted me, I had little time to research ... but I know he is an excellent fighter, has much experience and is styled similar to Saenchai.
MTA: Based off of what you know about Lerdsila is there anything that you feel he brings to the fight that could give you any trouble?

Sheymon: It is very hard to hit him, he is very slim and fast.
MTA: Can you give us a prediction for your fight with Lerdsila?
Sheymon: It will be a tough fight, training hard to make the best of me and make a good fight.
MTA: Where do you see yourself having an advantage in the fight?

Sheymon: Just to know over the course of the fight, every fight is a different story.
MTA: Being from Brazil most people probably expect you to have a pedigree in Jiu Jitsu or turn to MMA, do you get those questions often?

Sheymon: Yes it is all they ask if I fight jiu jitsu or MMA, in Brazil I train MMA and jiu jitsu because I am a member of one of the best teams in the world, Team Nogueira ... and in a near future I will migrate to MMA, but right now my focus is the Muay Thai!
MTA: You have been living in Bangkok what gym have you been training at, and how do you like living in Bangkok?

Sheymon: I trained in Petchiyndee, but now I'm in Muay Thai Plaza treinnando 2004, but I represent Team Nogueira here in Thailand ... not when I'm training and preparing me for my fights, I met with my friends having a barbecue and the Brazilians, ate pizza, played video games, watched fights.
MTA: As far as your Muay Thai career goes what are you future plans?

Sheymon: I want to build a solid career, winning a few titles importantly, gaining enough experience and learn enough to eventually go to MMA.
