American stand out Romie Adanza captured the WBC Bantamweight International Title after stopping Tomonori Sato in the second round. Adanza walked Sato down when the fight started and worked his leg kicks. A really solid counter elbow connected in the first round, in the second another counter elbow would open up Sato and force the stoppage of the fight. Adanza has now won three consecutive fights and is clearly ready to take on the best in the 115lb weight class. After years of fighting above his weight and having success it is hard to imagine anyone at 115lbs giving him trouble.
In another notable fight Tetsuya Yamato defeated former Lumpinee Stadium champion Densiam Kooprabath. Yamato had previously been defeated by Densiam, but he was able to avenge the loss with a second round knockout. Yamato, one of Japan's top fighters was able to stay one step ahead of Densiam and did not seem to have any trouble dispatching of his Thai opponent.
