The Fight League took place in Morocco this past weekend. The night's event featured Muay Thai great Saenchai taking on Hamza Essalih. The bout went as many fight fans expected with Saenchai outpointing his opponent for five rounds and winning a unanimous decision. With the win Saenchai has now won his last eight fights. Up next for him will be a bout with Greg Wootton at Yokkao 15 in October.
Sittichai Sitsongpeenong competed in an 8-man tournament on the night, winning the tournament by stopping two of his three opponents. In the tournament quarterfinal Sittichai won a decision over Emad Kedyear. In the semi-finals he scored a first round stoppage over Walid Hamid, and in the tournament final he scored a second round knockout over Yassin Baitar. With the tournament victory, Sittichai has now won the last four tournaments he has competed in including the Glory lightweight contender tournament at Glory 22 this past June.
