Giorgio Petrosyan will return to the ring on January 24, 2015. Petrosyan will compete in the main event at Thai Boxe Mania in Turin, Italy. Petrosyan will be fighting Erkan Varol and the bout will be his first since suffering a knockout to Andy Ristie at Glory 12 in New York.
Petrosyan had not lost a bout since 2007 and entering his bout with Ristie at Glory 12 he was considered the favorite. Going into the third and final round of the bout Petrosyan was in control until Ristie connected with a punch that flattened Petrosyan out. Fans have been anxiously awaiting to see the return of the Petrosyan and how he recovers from his knockout loss.
