Friday Night Fights Muay Thai was back in action last night at the Broad Street Ballroom in New York. The night featured only one pro fight between Joe Sampieri and Mike Erosa. It was a fast return to action from Erosa after having lost to Mohammed Lemjerdine a month ago. Sampieri was in control from the start of the fight, in the third round he forced two eight counts on Erosa as he consistently connected with his attacks and tossed Erosa to the canvas on several occasions. It looked like Erosa would not make it to the judges card, but somehow he was able to make it through the remaining rounds as Sampieri looked to finish. Credit to Erosa for showing some toughness and making it through the fight, but clearly Sampieri was out of his league as he walked away with a clear cut unanimous decision on all three of the judges cards.
