Deshawn Robinson talks upcoming fight with Liam Tarrant at Friday Night Fights season opener

Deshawn Robinson has compiled a 5-2 pro record with all five of his victories coming by knockout. Robinson trains under Luis Ruiz at Molina Martial Arts and will be looking to defeat up and coming prospect Liam Tarrant at the Friday Night Fights 2013 season opener this upcoming Friday, January 18th. Deshawn was kind enough to take some time from his training to answer a few questions for Muay Thai Authority.

MTA: You're getting ready to kick off 2013 with a fight against Liam Tarrant at the Friday Night Fights 2013 season opener. How is training going?

Deshawn: Yea training a going really well just how I imagined it would go.

MTA: How familiar are you with Liam as a fighter?

Deshawn: Liam’s last fight was against my teammate Kevin Molina so that was the only time I seen him fight, he won but I wasn't impressed at all.

MTA: Where do you feel you will hold the advantage in this fight?

Deshawn: My advantages are speed power n’ my will to win I hate losing so I'm coming out 2 win and win only.

MTA: You have a very explosive style, when you go into your fights how important is it to please the crowd?

Deshawn: It's important to please the crowd because 1 off night can cost you your career meaning no1 wants to see a boring fighter well I don't anyway.

MTA: Can we get a prediction for your fight with Liam?

Deshawn: My prediction is KO I don’t think he can last 5 rounds with a young bull like myself.

MTA: Do you have any other fights already lined up?

Deshawn: I want either fight Troy Sheridan or Terrence Hill next my only 2 losses ever.

MTA: What are your goals for 2013?

Deshawn: My goals this year are to be more active and smart gong into my fights.

MTA: Any words for your supporters?

Deshawn: My words for my supporters don't blink I’m the new face of Muay Thai.
