Thai Fight 2013 Finals Results and Recap

The Thai Fight 2013 Finals took place this past weekend in Thailand and the 154lb and 147lb tournament winners were crowned. Things went as expected as Yodsanklai Fairtex won the 154lb tournament and Fahmongkol Sor . Jor . Danrayong won the 147lb tournament.

Yodsanklai made it look easy agaisnt Expedito Valin. He knocked Valin down a total of three times. From the start of the fight Valin offered little offense as Yodsanklai walked through anything that was thrown at him as he stalked Valin. The first knock down came from an uppercut in the first round. Valin survived the round but in the second round things continued much like in the first. Yodsanklai knocked Valin down with a right punch and after Valin recovered Yodsanklai continued on the attack eventually connecting with another right that put Valin's lights out for good. With the win Yodsanklai has now won his last ten fights with seven of them being (T)KO's.

Ruslan Kushnirenko put up a worthy effort against Fahmongkol but in the end the Thai was just to skilled. Fahmongkol was simply a step ahead of Kushnirenko the entire fight. In the second round a perfectly executed left knee faint followed up by a right knee to the body spelled the end for Kushnirenko as he hit the canvas and could not beat the referee's count. It was a great display of technique by Fahmongkol.
