Muay Thai Global 7 took place this past weekend in Sacramento. The main event on the evening featured a super heavyweight bout for the the MTG title. CJ Leveque brought the fight to Deutch Puu, pressing the action from the opening bell. Leveque knocked Puu down in the second round, but Puu was able to recover and fight on. In the fourth round Leveque was still pressing forward, wearing Puu down. An exhausted Puu turned his back and the referee started the count, before calling the fight and declaring Leveque the winner.
In other pro action on the night CSA product Eddie Abasolo looked sharp en route to a unanimous decision win over Jonathan Pryor. Ming Freeman scored a (T)KO over Aber Bouttavong in the third round, and Eric Luna defeated Marcos Galvan by majority decision.
The night's first pro bout featured a spectacular KO by Donald Roberson. In the second round of his bout with Mike Gonzalez, Roberson scored a knockdown with a stiff right hand. Gonzalez was able to recover, but it wasn't long before Roberson delivered a crushing head kick to end the bout.
